Mahjong Wins Triple Pot combines tumbling tile wins, golden symbols that leave wilds behind and three coloured pots that can trigger a bonus at random. Its biggest headline is a theoretical maximum of 100,000x—but the mechanics are more interesting than the giant number.

This Mahjong Wins Triple Pot YesPlay review explains the unusual 4-5-5-5-4 grid, multiplier trail, golden tiles and what the blue, red and purple pots actually do.

How the tumble system works

The reels are shorter on the outside and taller in the centre. Three to five matching tiles create a win, after which those tiles disappear and new ones tumble into place. Consecutive tumbles push a multiplier trail upward until it reaches 5x in the base game.

When no further win forms, the trail resets for the next paid spin. A strong tumble sequence can therefore become more valuable as it continues, but most spins will not climb to the top multiplier.

What do golden tiles do?

On any spin, random paying symbols on reels two, three and four can be marked gold. If a golden tile is part of a winning combination, it disappears and leaves a wild in its position for the next tumble.

This is useful because the wild can help connect another win during the same paid spin. Golden tiles are not automatically wins and a wild does not stay forever; it belongs to the current tumble sequence.

How the three pots work

Blue, red and purple coin scatters feed the matching pots above the central reels. The pots can randomly trigger the bonus game with eight free spins and may award an instant prize.

The pots are visual progress indicators, but do not assume a pot is “due” because it looks full. Random triggers remain random. Leaving and returning to the game does not reset a personal jackpot meter in your favour or against you.

What changes during free spins?

The reels under the triggering pots become completely gold, creating more opportunities for winning tiles to leave wilds. The multiplier trail starts at 2x and can progress through 4x and 6x up to 10x with consecutive tumbles.

Landing one or more pot coins during free spins retriggers the feature. This can extend the round, but there is no guarantee that extra spins will produce a profit.

Can the pots really hit 100,000x?

Pragmatic Play advertises a theoretical maximum win of 100,000x. That is the upper limit built into the game, not the average return and not a likely result.

At a R0.25 stake, a 100,000x maximum would mathematically equal R25,000 before any operator limits or game rules. The probability is extremely low. Never choose a stake by multiplying it by the top advertised number.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Golden tiles make tumbles visually easy to follow
  • Three pots create a clear bonus objective
  • Base multiplier can climb to 5x
  • Free-spin multiplier can reach 10x
  • R0.25 listed minimum supports longer low-stake sessions

What to watch

  • Random pot triggers can take time to appear
  • The 100,000x maximum is extraordinarily rare
  • Tumble games can produce long no-win sequences
  • Visual progress does not mean a trigger is due
  • High feature density can disguise how quickly stakes add up

Our verdict

Mahjong Wins Triple Pot is one of the more distinctive current YesPlay slots because its golden tiles, tumble multiplier and three pots all work together. It offers more structure than a simple pay-anywhere slot without becoming impossible to understand.

The game is best approached at a comfortable stake with the information screen open first. Compare it with six alternatives in our best YesPlay slots for 2026.
